Service Terms
Effective October 13, 2026
These terms cover the paid Eterna Legacy Voice service, operated by GetPageSpeed LLC ("we"). The free Eterna Recorder app is covered by its App Store terms and our privacy policy.
The service
From an archive recorded with Eterna Recorder, we create a voice model of the speaker, keepsake audio messages in that voice, and private alpha access to ask questions answered from the speaker's own recordings. Quantities for each plan are listed on the offer page. The question-and-answer feature is an early alpha and may be incomplete or wrong; it is not a substitute for the person.
Consent
We only work from archives in which the speaker recorded spoken consent in the app. By ordering, you confirm the speaker is a living adult who gave that consent freely, or that you have their authority to send it. We may decline any archive whose consent or Voice Rights Passport does not check out, and refund you in full.
Acceptable use
Keepsakes and answers are for private family use. You may not use the voice to deceive anyone, impersonate the speaker to third parties, obtain money or access, or publish content the speaker would not have agreed to. We may stop the service and delete the voice model if this happens.
Billing
Each plan has a one-time setup fee and a monthly subscription, billed in US dollars through Stripe. The subscription renews monthly until cancelled.
Cancellation, deletion, and refunds
- The setup fee is fully refundable until your first keepsake message is delivered.
- You or the speaker may cancel and ask us to delete the voice model and recordings at any time by emailing eterna@smartycode.com. We stop billing, refund the unused part of the current month, and send you copies of every keepsake we made.
- We confirm deletion within 30 days.
Ownership
The speaker and your family keep all rights in the recordings and keepsakes. You grant us only the permission needed to provide the service to you.
Liability
The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
